These terms cover the Balaji Customer API, the Integrations page and every connection made from it: keys, exports, feeds, webhooks, partner platforms and AI assistants. They apply to a wholesale account that Balaji has approved, and to anyone who uses that account's credentials.
The API is free for approved wholesale accounts.
You may use the data the API returns for your own business: to run your orders, receiving, accounting, inventory and reporting.
You may share it with the people and vendors who work for you on those tasks, if they keep it confidential and use it only for you.
You may not resell it, publish it, or give it to a competitor of Balaji or to anyone who will resell it.
Your prices, your terms, your credit, and the stock and arrival dates the API shows you are confidential. They are for your account only.
You may not pass pricing or stock to third parties for resale, comparison or marketplace listing.
Sub-accounts see only their own data, unless the parent account's admin grants more.
A key acts as your account. Keep it secret, store it outside your source code, and revoke it from the Integrations page if it may have leaked. You are responsible for every call made with your keys.
If you connect an AI assistant, accounting software or any other tool, you are sending your data to that tool at your direction. Balaji is not responsible for what that tool does with it. You are responsible for the tool's actions on your account.
Only the account admin may create keys and connections.
An order placed through the API is an order on your account terms. It is subject to the same credit, stock, pricing and return rules as an order placed on the website.
Balaji charges its own price for every line. A different price on your PO is flagged, not honored.
Live ordering is switched on per account after you have tested with a test key. Balaji may hold, review or refuse an order that looks wrong.
Each key may make 120 requests a minute and 50,000 a day. Item lookups and catalog syncs have their own daily allowances. The docs list the current limits.
Do not try to get around a limit, probe for other customers' data, or put load on the API that harms other customers.
Balaji runs the API on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime guarantee and no service credit. Data can be up to 15 minutes behind the system of record.
Balaji may add to the API at any time. A breaking change ships as a new version, with at least six months' notice by email and in the changelog, and the old version keeps running meanwhile.
Balaji may change these terms. A new version asks the account admin to accept it again.
Balaji may suspend or revoke a key or connection without notice if it is leaked, abused, breaks these terms, or puts the system or other customers at risk.
Access ends when your wholesale account ends or when you revoke it. Ending access revokes every key and connection. Data you already hold stays subject to the confidentiality terms above.
The API returns your own orders, shipments, invoices, statements and catalog prices. It does not return other customers' data. Balaji logs each call's route, status, time and key, but not request or response bodies. The privacy policy has the rest.
